community service (archie style?)

well it's certainly been a while since my last post. for wot it's worth, i really missed my lil bloggy, but while i might have receded into the woodwork, i was nonetheless very very present, checking up on freekazoids every so often.
oh btw... the more observant (i.e. those with one or more functional eyeball) might notice a few changes to Nudy & Prudy's bloggity. for the completely and utterly blind (i'm not being very p.c. here, am i?!!) i'm talking about the new shtuff in the friggin' sidebar.
wot can i say... nudy is not becoming a prude (now that would never ever do), but i did come across a particularly interesting and enlightening site: freevibe.com a day or so ago, and i've come to realize that archie and the gang weren't just a corny bunch of do-gooding know-it-all peckerheads, they really had the right message all along: SAY NO TO DRUGS!
of course this doesn't change the fact that they are still a corny bunch of do-gooding know-it-all peckerheads... all i'm saying is that there's more to them than just the initial lame layer.
however, at this point in time i feel the need to somewhat clarify my position. i still enjoy getting an occasional fix, be it marijuana, nicotine, caffeine, or alcohol, but for the past 5 years or so (ever since i stepped off the addiction track for good, and cleaned my act up a bit), i've firmly believed that i can have a great time without indulging in some light chemical bondage. as such, i'm not saying give up your brain-messer-upper substances... heck, i love getting down with my buddies and getting stoned, smashed, or mind-numbingly bent.
i'm just saying we all need to lighten up, take a deep breath, and sometimes enjoy a moment of clarity that is purely self-induced. trust me... it's the ultimate high.
